Forming a Spiral Landscape

is a participatory dance performance structured as a guided collective walk based on the spiral form.

Inspired by ancient inward and outward spiral dances, the work unfolds through a simple choreographic principle: participants hold hands and follow a guided path, progressively forming a spiral that expands and contracts in space.

The performance develops in real time, shaped by the number and engagement of participants. It begins with an open invitation in the public space, gradually building into a collective formation that remains fluid and permeable.

Embedded in the (urban) nature environment, the work integrates the spatial and sonic qualities of the site. It can be experienced both from within—through participation—and from a distance, as an evolving visual composition.

Participation remains open throughout, allowing individuals to enter, leave, observe, and rejoin at any moment.
